2019 GKCOA Mechanic & Rules Clinic

GKCOA will again be conducting a summer Football Rules and Mechanics class for officials that are interested in improving their game. In the past, this class has been most beneficial to our officials beginning their officiating endeavor and those seeking to enhance their professionalism on the field. Included will be classroom and on field instruction to develop your officiating skill set.

Classes will generally be held on Monday evenings in July at Center High School (first meeting had to be moved to Thursday, 7/3, due to parking lot resurfacing) and culminate with a MSHSAA Approved Mechanics Practicum on July 26th at Lathrop High School. The clinic will give attendees more on field instruction than would be received at most mechanic clinics they might attend. The following materials will be provided:

Classroom instruction will be held at Center High School as follows:

Thursday, July 3, 6:30-8:30 pm
Monday, July 8, 6:30-8:30 pm
Monday, July 15, 6:30-8:30 pm
Monday, July 22, 6:30-8:30 pm

On Field Mechanics Practicum at Lathrop High School:

Friday, July 26, 8:00 am to completion
Attire for the July 26th practicum will be officiating uniforms as we will be on the field.

Registration deadline is June 24th so orders for books may be processed and delivered in time for our first class. Materials will not be provided until the clinic is paid for in full. Cost of the clinic is $75.
